Video shows Flydubai plane on fire before it crashed to the ground

The latest video to surface around the fatal plane crash that killed 62 people on Saturday has shown the aircraft seemingly on fire before it hit the ground.

Russian media outlet Life News broadcast the video, claiming the Flydubai Boeing 737-800 was already engulfed in flames while plummeting steeply to earth.

An object can be seen falling on the left side of the screen before exploding into a fireball on impact.

In another angle taken by a security camera, the plane does appear to be alight during its descent.

The plane departed from Dubai and had been circling Russia’s Rostov-on-Don airport for two hours before crashing on its second attempt to land.

55 passengers and seven crew members were killed on impact in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Authorities have secured the plane’s black boxes and are investigating what happened, while thick fog, heavy rain and strong winds are believed to be the cause of the accident.

Authorities are not treating it as suspicious.

In a statement, Flydubai said they were willing to stand by the families affected by the crash.
