'Nike Bikie' nabbed after police allegedly seize drugs and $36k in cash from Gold Coast apartment
Police have allegedly seized cocaine, steroids, drug paraphernalia and $36,000 in cash from a Surfers Paradise man dubbed the ‘Nike Bikie’.
33-year-old Jon Pierre Kairouz, owner of Jon Pierre Hair on Chevron Island, was one of several men arrested during multiple Taskforce Maxima raids across Gold Coast properties yesterday.
Video of the early morning raid released by Queensland Police showed the suspect sitting on the couch in his underwear, unaware of the 6:30am police visit.
One wall of the unit is covered with a shoe rack containing dozens of pairs of Nike shoes.
Inside the shoes, officers allegedly found drugs and cash.
Kairouz shows off his flamboyant lifestyle on his social media pages, flaunting Ferraris, motocycles, jetskis and luxurious travel destinations.
Police allege the hairdresser has links to both the Comancheros and Mongols motorcycle gangs.
Detective Inspector Philip Stevens of Taskforce Maxima thanked the public for their help in supplying information to authorities.
“Another $36,000, cocaine and methylamphetamine seized from an OMCG associate. Another win for the community,” he said.
Kairouz ran away from the media yesterday, even ducking in front of a moving tram to avoid comment, the Gold Coast Bulletin reported.
He has been charged with two counts of possess dangerous drugs and one count each of unlawful possession of restricted drugs, possess property and possess restricted weapons.
He will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on February 23.
