Restaurant on the lake, now in the lake after building collapse
Multiple emergency crews have attended the scene of a popular waterfront restaurant after the building partially collapsed into the water.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokeswoman said crews were rushed to the complex on Soldiers Rd, Pelican.
The complex is home to a popular restaurant and wedding venue 'Milano's On The Lake', near Lake Macquarie.
The spokeswoman said two people were inside the building at the time it collapsed but both escaped unharmed.
Emergency crews had turned off gas and electricity to the two-storey building to prevent any further risks.
A spokesman for Milano's took to Facebook to update the public.
"Everyone is ok, just here with emergency services now," the spokesman said.
