New Jersey police investigating video showing old man decked in random 'knockout game' attack
Police in the US are investigating a video posted online showing a man punching someone in the head and flooring them in an apparent random attack for fun.
The "disturbing" video shows a young man, possibly a teen, walk up to a random older, shorter man on a street corner in New Jersey and punch him in the face in what appears to be an example of the "knockout game".
The older man is instantly knocked out and falls backwards onto the road.

As the assailant approaches the older man someone off camera screen screams, "Don't hit him! Don't hit him!"
The man leans into his victim, telling him something before turning to the camera and asking, "Knock him out? Want me to knock him out?" to the person holding the camera.
"Knock him out! Knock him out!" the friend holding the camera shouts.
The man draws his fist back and knocks the old man to the ground as the pair walk away laughing.
Paterson police said on Facebook they were fully investigating the video, telling NJ.com no arrests had been made as of Friday.
"We want to thank all the concerned citizens that have shared and reported the disturbing video to us," the Paterson Police Department wrote on Facebook.
Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale later said in a video detectives were trying to locate the perpetrators.
"Once that is determined we will take swift and decisive action as we will not tolerate that type of behaviour or action in out city," he said.
While many doubt its existence, the "knockout game" is a disturbing blood sport in which people sucker punch random victims. It gained popularity among young people in the US in 2013 with numerous videos showing the attacks posted online.
