Enraged tiger snake snapped up by mouse-trap in Western Australia
Anthony Parker was just trying to enjoy his early morning cup of tea when he heard his mouse trap go off next to him.
As he looked down, he saw an enraged tiger snake hissing and lashing out at a mouse-catcher after falling for its prey's trap inside the Western Australian home.
A video of the spectacle was posted to Mr Parker's Facebook page on January 18, revealing the skin-crawling moment the slithering serpent was stuck inside Mr Parker's Esperance home.
Mr Parker said he almost jumped off his stool when he first saw the scaly predator entangled in his mouse-trap.
"I came home from work at about 5pm, had a coffee and had a look at a few things on the internet and as I was sitting there I just heard the mouse-trap go snap," Mr Parker told Esperance Express.
Mr Parker told the publication he believes the snake entered the house after his wife placed several mouse-traps around the house after hearing mice.
The father-of-one said he filmed the snake to prove to his family that he didn't make the story up.
Mr Parker claims to have felt sorry for the snake and doesn't usually like killing them but had incase it lashed out at his son.
“I felt a bit sorry for it in a funny sort of way; I didn’t want it in the house, but I don’t kill snakes unless they are around the house because we have a little boy," he said.
