Fans at Elton John's Wellington concert came to the rescue of a fellow concert-goer who suffered a cardiac arrest.
The incident happened in the Westpac Stadium car park, and Westpac Stadium chief executive Shane Harmon told Fairfax a "passing patron provided CPR, which was fantastic".
He said Wellington Free Ambulance was on the scene immediately and he understands the patient is doing well and was conscious on the way to the hospital.
Wellington Free Ambulance spokeswoman Diane Livingstone said paramedics used a defibrillator at the scene.
She also highlighted the actions of the members of public who intervened before emergency services arrived.
"It's an amazing story. The more people who are taught and are confident doing CPR the better. That's what saves lives," she told Fairfax.
