Mr Green, 28, was left with shocking injuries needing on-going eye treatment and a plate and screws in his hand.

The victim told police the attack was out of the blue.

When a witness asked him why he attacked Tammistu replied ‘cause I wanted to’.

The attacker says he turned violent inside this pub because he thought the victim and his friends were laughing at him.

But his defence lawyer told the court he was suffering from paranoia because of a mix of drugs and alcohol.

The judge will sentence Tammistu on Friday indicating he faces at least seven years jail before being deported to his home country of Estonia.
