Hipsters 'bearded' out police, mistaken for ‘terrorists’

Police swooped this group of bearded enthusiasts during a photoshoot after hoisting a black flag mistakenly believed to have resembled an Islamic State flag.

A frightened member of the public felt threatened and called Swedish police after the group of 30 'Bearded Villains' were seen taking photographs at a remote castle in Brahehus, southern Sweden.

Terror police arrived one hour into the photoshoot at the castle they found out the men were a Swedish branch of the group known as the 'Bearded Villains' who were simply enjoying a day in celebration of their beards.

Andreas Fransson, a member of the Bearded Villains, wrote to Facebook: "In the middle of the shoot, two cops show up, telling us they got a call from someone saying that they drove past and saw about 30 terrorists waving a ISIS flag."

Mr Fransson also commented that he and the 'Bearded had a good laugh with police as they pulled into the castle watching them "hugging and laughing".

“Each and every day you hear someone say you are a terrorist,” co-leader beard enthusiast John Ekeblad told the Metro.

According to the hairy villains, the group was established in 2014 as a "brotherhood of elite bearded men from all over the world."
