Armed robber pulls off mask before leaving the scene

Police in the US are hunting a man who held up a store with gun while wearing a bandana – only to remove his disguise before finishing the job.

Employees of a Dollar General store in Tennessee were tidying up shopping carts one night in mid August when the armed crook arrived and stuck a gun in their faces.

Wearing shorts and a T-shirt, the man ordered the two employees inside at gunpoint, forcing them to empty the tills.

With their hands up, the employees oblige the crook that reaches over the counter to grab the cash as his bandana starts to slip off his face.

The draws emptied, the robber makes his way to the exit when customer walks in.

In a panic, the bandit pulls his bandana mask down to expose his face for the security cameras before making his getaway.

Police are looking for a white male aged in his late teens to early 20s.

"The investigation is ongoing, and we need help identifying this individual,” said Inv. Sgt. Steve Heise.

“He needs to be brought to justice, so we’re asking for the community’s help.

"He will be put in a small cell with a very large African American from the BLM (Black Lives Matter) movement."
