British bullies given light cautions for beating teen in Snapchat video

Three teenage British girls who beat another girl and set her hair weave alight in Snapchat videos have been let off with police cautions.

The teens shared the videos in which they hit and kicked a cowering 15-year-old Sophie Nevard who sits on the ground crying and covering her face.

One girl yells, "Stop! Stop! Stop!" as the laughing teens beat Sophie in the video taken July 11 in Kent.

A second video shows one girl spraying Sophie's hair weave with an aerosol can and setting it alight.

When the video was posted Snapchat it carried the blurb: "Sophie Nevard getting f***ed up," followed by several smiley face emoticons.

Sophie's friends say she is too terrified to leave the house since the July attack, Metro reports.

Police gave two of the antagonists, 16 and 17, cautions for assault while the third girl, 15, was given a harassment warning.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said: "A number of factors are taken in to consideration when issuing a caution (including) offending history and the wishes of the victim."
