Aussie hiker claims to have taken a photo of a ghost in bushland

A Toowoomba hiker claims to have snapped a photo of a ghost in a spot ‘known for suicides’.

The man, who goes by Brokc David on Facebook, shared the image to Toowoomba Ghost Chasers’ page on Thursday.

It appears to show a bald man, with a short beard, wearing a red jumper standing alongside a pile of fallen branches.

'This was shared by a member who went out hiking at a local Toowoomba water hole known for suicides,’ the post read.

‘He all of a sudden felt as though he was being watched and followed and he felt an awful feeling of dread wash over him. Then when going back through his photos he finds this’.

Some members of the group were skeptical, claiming the photo was clearly photoshopped and looked fake.

However the uploader said he was hiking in national parkland near Goomburra, Toowoomba (rural Queensland) when he was overwhelmed with a feeling someone was watching him.

The group said it was rare to see someone dressed in red in the middle of remote bush land.

Another woman claimed to see 'a few souls' in the shot which she highlighted.

The uploader followed up with a post of his own saying he had been experienced a ‘feeling of dread’ since he took the photo.

“Oddly enough I've been experiencing a similar feeling of dread every once in a while over the last week,” he wrote on Facebook.

He also told Yahoo7 News he normally liked being out in the bush by himself but he got a strange 'ominous feeling' during this encounter and decided to turn around.

"I felt like the hairs on the back of my neck were standing up, I honestly don't believe in ghosts or anything supernatural," he said.

While many questioned the authenticity of the photo one man claimed he felt a sharp pain in the side of the head while viewing the photo.

He believed the subject in the photo may have been struck in the head before he died.

“Picking up the worst energy from this photo and it's giving me a headache. So much darkness in that area,”
