'Saved by God': Man survives 17-storey plunge
A man who fell nearly 40 metres from a 17th floor balcony says God is responsible for his miraculous survival.
Sebastián Reyes had been celebrating Chile's Copa America win over Bolivia with friends when he toppled over his apartment balcony and plunged towards imminent death.
CCTV footage captured the moment he plummeted through a garage roof before ricocheting off a car bonnet and hitting the ground.
When a TV reporter asked Reyes of his miraculous survival, he simply pointed to a tattoo on his arm that reads: "God, don't abandon me."
"I felt the fall but nothing more and did not wake up. I woke up in the hospital," said Reyes, who remarkably only suffered a fractured thigh and pelvis.
The video is the latest in a long list of miraculous crash survivals that have to be seen to be believed.
