This is the moment a man risked his life when he decided to attach 100 multi-coloured helium balloons to a chair and fly off into the skies, all in an attempt to advertise his cleaning company.
Video of the idiotic feat has gone viral and Dan Boria has spoken out about why he thought it was a good idea to launch himself into the sky over the Calgary Stampede.
The 26-year-old’s moment of peace and tranquility quickly changed when he was forced to somersault out of the $20 chair, plunge several thousand feet to the earth, and make an uncomfortable emergency landing.
Boria was trying to advertise his cleaning company, All Clean Natural, by using only air currents to hover over the stampede.
His plan was then to skydive back to earth into the chuckwagon races while flying his company logo on an above banner.
Boria told National Post: “It was eerie because it didn’t feel the same way you thought it would.
“It wasn’t as bumpy as you’d expect but when the balloons started blowing up the whole chair would shake like crazy. It was like a gun going off.”
Police noticed Boria when he was still in mid-air and charged him with mischief causing danger to life.
He was arrested at the scene of his crash-landing, police said he is likely to be fined.
