Bride upstaged at own wedding by friend's proposal
A wedding is the one event where a bride and groom should expect all of the attention to be on them.
Stealing the newlyweds’ thunder is a terrible faux pas.
Yet a picture has surfaced of a couple doing just that.
The photo shows a wedding guest proposing to his girlfriend right in front of the bride and groom during their reception.
It’s no surprise the act was met with ridicule.
The photo, uploaded to Reddit by a unknown source, has been viewed more than 1.3m times and attracted more than 1000 comments.
The newlywed couple are yet to be identified and seem to be smiling as the guest gets down on one knee to present an emotional woman with an engagement ring.
The potential groom even placed his bottle of beer on the table right in front of the bride, before he got down on one knee.
While the bride and groom seem to be happy, the bride does show a strained grin on her face.
'Her smiles says "congratulations", her eyes say "that b**ch",' one redditor wrote.
Others felt bad for the girl who was proposed to: 'Honestly I feel kinda bad for the girl being proposed to more than the bride, she's being proposed to at someone else's big day, he hasn't made it personal for her at all but I guess she seems ok with it.'
It’s unclear whether the newlyweds knew of the proposal plot.
Regardless, the internet is angry for them.
