Police find DNA on pizza crust at brutal murder and torture scene

US police have identified a man suspected of killing a wealthy CEO, his wife, their ten-year-old son and their housekeeper, after his DNA was found on a pizza crust at the scene of their murders.

Daron Dylon Wint, 34, is wanted for torturing Savvas Savopoulos, the 46-year-old head of American Iron Works, Inc., his wife Amy, 47, their 10-year-old son Philip and their housekeeper, Veralicia Figueroa, 57, before setting the $4.5million Washington property alight last Thursday.

A police spokesman said detectives did not know where Mr Wint was and it was not clear whether he was connected to the family.

The Daily Mail reported police discovered the killers ordered pizza from a local Domino’s as they tortured the family inside their home.

Domino’s staff confirmed they took the order and delivered the food.

It’s believed at least two people visited the home as the Savopouloses were being held captive: a pizza deliveryman and Savopoulos' assistant.

The assistant, who has not been named, dropped off a $40,000 package to his boss' home as the family members were inside, police told the Washington Post.

It’s believed the killers knew that the money was due to be delivered to the house last Thursday.

When firefighters arrived at the house on Thursday afternoon, the package and the couple's Porsche had vanished.

The car was found in a car park later that afternoon.

The four bodies were later discovered on the second floor of the family home.

Police said at least three had suffered blunt force trauma before the blaze. The fire is being treated as an arson.

It’s believed the adults were tied to chairs while the little boy was found in bed.

Fox News reported he was discovered burned beyond recognition with lacerations to his body.

Police footage released earlier this week revealed a man dressed in a dark hooded top moving quickly behind a building.

Housekeeper Veralicia Figueroa, 57, was also found dead at the scene.

A $25,000 reward has been offered in the brutal quadruple slaying, which unfolded in one of the city's wealthiest neighborhoods.

It’s also considered one of the safest.

The family's two older daughters, Abigail and Katerina were not at home at the time of the fire.
