Monster croc captured in NT

This is a job you can really dig your teeth into.

Northern Territory Parks and Wildlife workers have hauled a massive salt-water crocodile from a trap near Mandorah, and he’s a mean looking specimen.

The 4.1 metre long saltie was captured on Monday and the service released the images of its workers' efforts last night.

The crocodile had been spotted several times in the area before rangers were alerted to its presence in a trap near No Name Creek on Monday night.

They drove to the area and removed it, with the paper reporting it is now likely destined to become a breeder at a crocodile farm.

Large saltwater crocodiles are not an unusual sight in Australia’s north, although a 4.1 metre saltie is large even by Territorian standards.
