Woman finds half a cockroach in her burger

A woman in New Zealand has vowed to never eat another Big Mac after discovering a cockroach in her McDonald's burger.

"I was working on it for about three or four seconds, I thought it was a bit of gristly meat," Annah Sophia Stevenson told the Marlborough Express.

"The guts were hanging out and it had a big hole in the middle of it."

Annah had taken her three year-old son Luca to the fast food chain restaurant in Blenheim, New Zealand, after a busy day moving house and ordered herself a BigMac.

After three bites she made the grim discovery and pulled the half eaten cockroach shell from her mouth before running to vomit in the toilets.

The New Zealander posted an image of the offender on her Facebook page and the McDonald's Facebook page, stating she felt ‘traumatised and disgusted’.

Head of communications at McDonald’s, Simon Kenny, has assured the incident will be investigated and noted that the remains of the cockroach will be collected and tested, reports Fairfax media.

'I'll never, ever eat another Big Mac as long as I live,' she said.
