Two women who aspired to become the ‘real bad bitches’ of the Islamic State have been arrested after they hatched a plot to blow up Americans, according to reports.

The two New York women were caught by authorities planning to launch an attack - possibly on a police officers funeral.

Asia Siddiqui and Noelle Velentzas are former roommates and police allege they have been plotting an attack on US soil since at least May 2013.

Asia Siddiqui, 31, stockpiled tanks of propane gas and had instructions on how to transform propane gas tanks into bombs, news.com.au reported.

Velentzas, 28, reportedly idolises Osama bin Laden, so much so that the background image on her phone was him holding an AK-47. She has allegedly “pulled a knife from her bra and demonstrated how to stab someone” during the presence of an undercover officer.

The undercover officer alleges that Velentzas once said: Why can’t we be some real bad bitches?’

She also said that people should refer to them as citizens of the Islamic State.

During a series of conversations with the undercover officer, they discussed previous plots, including the Oklahoma City bombing and the failed car bombing of Times Square.

Velentzas described the funeral of NYPD officer Rafael Ramos, which drew more than 25,000 cops, as an “attractive target.”

Siddiqui and Velentzas were both charged with conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction inside the US.

They face up to life in prison if found guilty.
