Office sex romp couple 'have left the company'

A married senior insurance broker and a junior employee involved in the steamy office sex romp that was caught on video and went viral online have reportedly left the firm.

A bar full of patrons witnessed the couple’s escapades as they got down to business in the Christchurch office last month, with pictures and video of their tryst gaining traction online and soon making headlines around the world.

The 50-year-old manager and the 25-year-old staffer are no longer employees at the Marsh Ltd insurance firm and have not returned since the saucy liaison was exposed on January 30, the The New Zealand Herald reports.

The incident left the company less than impressed. It soon identified the pair and launched an investigation.

It comes after reports the man involved in the encounter, who is married with two children, was fighting to keep his job.

He was apparently told by the company not to comment, but according to an insider quoted by The New Zealand Herald, he is fighting ‘tooth and nail’ to save his senior management position.

"There are a lot of legal difficulties that Marsh are having to go through, and they are going to take their time,” the insider is quoted as saying.

"But [he] is hoping that he can return in some capacity to a job that he loves."

Unbeknownst to the unsuspecting couple, they had inadvertently put on some live entertainment for a bar full of patrons across the road who had taken up front row seats.

Many huddled around a window to watch the action, whilst others filmed and photographed the romantic liaison.

Those steamy images and videos were seen by millions of people, including the man's wife, online.

The female employee has been keeping a low profile.
