'I was a woman called Pam': Two-year-old US boy
A US boy shocked his family when he casually told his mum he used to be a woman called Pam in a past life.
Luke Ruehlman, was just two-years-old, when he spoke to his mum sharing specific details about a past life where he lived and suffered a tragic death.
The shocked mum Erica Ruehlman told Fox2Now St Louis that when she started questioning the toddler more details came out and he started calling daily objects by the name of Pam.
Mrs Ruehlman, from Ohio, told Fox2Now St Louis: "I specifically asked him, ‘Why did you name the ladybug Pam?’
He said I just think it`s a nice name.
“I didn`t think anything of it other than it was strange to me because we didn`t know any Pams.”
Luke's comments got stranger and he begun to describe himself as a girl with black hair or say 'I used have earrings like that when I was a girl'
The family's life was turned upside down when Luke's mum plucked up the courage to ask her directly who Pam was.
She said: “I was like, ‘Who is Pam?’ That’s when he turned to me and said, ‘Well I was.’ I said, ‘what do you mean you were?'
He was like, ‘Well I used to be, but I died and I went up to heaven and I saw God and eventually God pushed me back down. When I woke up I was a baby and you named me Luke."
The spooked out mum went further with the issue and asked Luke how he had died.
Mrs Ruehlman said to Luke: "Do you remember how you died?’
He looked right at me and said, ‘Yea it was fire.’
At that point he made like a motion like his hand he was jumping off a building.
Luke was sure he had lived in Chicago so the curious mum used the internet to start trying to search for some answers.
Mrs Ruehlman came across the Paxton Hotel, in a predominantly African American Chicago neighborhood, and Luke confirmed without hesitation that Pam's skin colour had been black to his bewildered mum.
A massive fire had raged through the building in March 1993 and while going through the names of the victims Mrs Ruehlman came across Pamela Robinson, a woman in her 30s, who had jumped out of a window.
Mrs Ruehlman added: “I was really weirded out by this point”
The family put their son, now five, to the test while they were working with documentary show “Ghost Inside My Child” on the Lifetime Movie Network.
Luke's parents found a picture of Pam alongside fake pictures and they were flabbergasted when he picked out the correct picture of Pam while the cameras were rolling.
Luke said: "I don`t recognize anybody. But, I remember when this one was taken. He pointed to the correct one.”
Just as the family began to connect with Pam's memory and even speak to her family Luke seemed to have let her go and stopped talking about her.
The family didn't receive any money for telling their story and say they will continue to share it for anyone who wants to hear about it.
