This is what a flood in the desert looks like
Central Australia has been hammered by heavy rain over the past few days, causing widespread flooding, but it has also generated some amazing pictures.
Beautiful images have emerged of water pouring off the sides of Uluru, dry plains turned into oceans and normally dry river beds flowing freely.
The flooding has caused road closures in the Northern Territory and northern South Australia, isolating some townships.
Many locations across the Red Centre recorded rainfall figures above 100mm over the past few days, with some locations nudging closer to 200mm over the past week.
