Child pornography within celebrity nude photo leak
A dark twist has come to light in the celebrity nude photo leaks scandal with reports that images of child pornography are among the leaked imagery.
Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney was allegedly under the age of 18 when hacked nude photos of her were taken and she has launched legal action in response against porn sites who published the images, reports TMZ.
The publication learnt of a letter addressed to Porn.com from Maroney’s lawyers informing them that she was underage at the time the pictures were made and ordering their immediate removal from the web.
Another letter, which was sent to several online publications from a second lawyer acting on the gymnast’s behalf, warned that the copyright in the images belonged to McKayla.
These legal warnings strongly indicate that the photos actually do capture the young American, despite the teenager’s claims on Twitter that were “fake photos”.
A Porn.com representative said that they removed the images the instant that they received the legal notice.
