A 15-year-old girl has died after being struck by a car in Tasmania's north.
Police said the girl got off a bus and began to walk across the West Tamar Highway, north of Collins Lane, in Sidmouth about 6pm on Friday (AEST) when she was hit.
The 15-year-old was taken to Launceston General Hospital in serious condition and has since died from her injuries.
The driver of the car was a 47-year-old man from Ravenswood.
Police are investigating the crash.
