A *nna Lisle *initially entered My Kitchen Rules as a tribute to her late brother *Hugh *, who passed away from a rare form of rheumatoid arthritis four years ago.
And even though she and mother *Cathy * narrowly missed out on a place in the top five, they say they did Hugh's memory proud by persevering with the notoriously stressful cooking competition.
"Even getting on the show, he would have been so excited," Anna, 26, told _Access All Areas _after their elimination last night.
"There was one thing that Hugh always told us. 'It doesn't matter if you win or not, you play the game and if you play it well, that's all that matters'.
"Not everything goes your way, especially not in life, but we have to keep our heads high and be proud of our results."
Unlike many other teams on the show, the country NSW mother-
daughter duo went on My Kitchen Rules not for a chance at stardom
but to spend some quality time together away from their careers - Cathy is a physiotherapist while Anna is a food critic and editor of a Sydney restaurant blog. Cathy said the experience had taught them things they never knew about one another.
"Anna and I have always been close but we saw a new side of each other," the 54-year-old said.
"I don't think Anna will want to live with me ever again but other than that it was absolutely fantastic."
But the stress isn't over for the Lisle family just yet.
Plans were well under way for Anna's wedding later this year and she said the clock was ticking down faster than she would like.
"The wedding is in October, I am actually dress shopping today," the blonde revealed. "I need to get myself organised."
The women have both tipped Gold Coast surfer dads *Paul Bullpit *and *Blair Tonkin *as the ones to watch as the Seven show heads into the ultimate instant restaurant round today, when the teams will have to prepare not one but two entree, main and dessert options for their guests.
One team will be eliminated at the end of the round.
