A WA ticket holder is $22.2 million richer today after winning the Oz Lotto jackpot last night.

The win continues the State's extraordinary run of Lotto luck.

When compared with same period in previous years (January to September), it is the highest running tally of WA Division 1 winners since 2008 when we reached 64.

Last night's jackpot win follows three other jackpot winners from this year starting with a Noranda family who took home a $20 million Powerball prize in February.

This was followed by an Esperance Goldfields resident who collected a $10 million Powerball prize in May. Then, just less than three weeks ago, a Perth southern suburbs couple picked up a $20 million Powerball prize.

Lotterywest spokesperson Pina Compagnone said the tally of local Division 1 winners had reached 56.

"That's five more compared with this time last year," she said.

"Only in the last four days, we have seen six local Division 1 winners share in more than $25 million. We are thrilled with this result and hope that Lotto luck will continue here in the west."

Last night's $22 million Division 1 prize is the third largest Lotto prize won in WA. The record for the State's largest Lotto win sits at $30 million which was won in 2001 and 2007.

the Oz Lotto win comes after a Yanchep woman won $1m in Monday's Lotto after she bought a ticket the person in front of her at the counter decided they did not want.

"For some reason they didn’t want the ticket anymore, so I bought it along with some others. It was just fate, we were meant to have the million dollar ticket," she said.

On the dream list for the family included paying off their mortgage, setting their children up for the future and reducing work hours to spend more time as a family.

"There’s even some left over for me to buy my first Harley-Davidson motorcycle," the dad said.

The winning ticket was sold at Yanchep Central Newsagency and the family took no time coming forward to claim their prize.

For the Yanchep newsagency, it was the second big Lotto win in five months. The million dollar prize follows a $565,719 Division 1 ticket sold at the outlet in April.

As well as the winning Yanchep ticket, three Division 1 Lotto winners from the weekend each picked up a $715,471 and another WA player collected a Soccer Pools prize worth $237,035.

The winning Soccer Pools ticket was sold from Bullsbrook Newsagency.

Lotterywest is still waiting to hear from WA’s three weekend Division 1 Lotto winners and the State’s Soccer Pools winner
