Online and phone car rego reminders

South Australian drivers can now sign up for extra reminders of when their car registration is due through a new online service.

People can nominate up to two email addresses and up to two mobile phone numbers to receive notifications of the expiry date via the new eNotice system.

“The system also allows people to choose when they receive the email or SMS reminder,” Minister for Finance Michael O’Brien said.

“You can select to be notified seven days and/or one day prior to expiry and if your vehicle registration expires, you will get another reminder message one day after.

“Of course South Australians will continue to receive - as they always have - a reminder to pay their motor registration renewal notice through the mail.”

Mr O’Brien said the new system responds to customer demand for convenient online services.

“In the first instance, the eNotice system will support the notification of impending vehicle registration expiry; however it has been built so that it can be extended to other types of government notifications in the future,” he said.
