Man faces drug charges after falling asleep near police station

A NSW man has been charged with drug supply after being found asleep across the road from a Sydney police station, allegedly with a bag of meth lying next to him.

The man was found on the side of the road in Montgomery St, Kogarah at around 11:30am on Sunday morning.

According to police, a bag of white powder was located on the ground next to him.

The man was searched and police allegedly found three more bags of white powder, believed to be methylamphetamine (Ice).

They also allegedly found three tablets, believed to be ecstasy, a gold watch and more than $2000 cash.

He was arrested and taken to St George Police Station where he was charged with a variety of drugs charges.

He was refused bail and will face court today.
