Tyson scared of cuddly koala

Former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, 'Iron' Mike Tyson, met his match in Brisbane on Wednesday afternoon.

It wasn't another boxer who had 'The Baddest Man on the Planet' on his knees - it was a cuddly koala.

The photo opportunity with Trace the koala, arranged by Tyson's tour promoter Max Markson, went pear-shaped when he refused to go near the marsupial.

"Good animals go bad sometimes," he laughed when asked if he was scared of the koala.

"I don't want to pet the damn koala.

"I'm sure they've got a lot of bacteria in those nasty claws. A friend of mine had a koala scratch him.

"I don't like animals you can't raise. If I can't see them come out their mother, I don't mess with them."

Tyson is in Brisbane as part of a promotional five-city tour of Australia called Mike Tyson's Day Of The Champions: Unleash The Spirit Of The Champion Within You.
