A Colombian child nicknamed 'Turtle Boy' has had surgery to remove the giant mole that covered his back.
The shell-like mole was removed from six-year-old Didier Montalvo by British surgeons who flew to Colombia to perform the operation.
Didier's story has been told overnight on the Bodyshock documentary series on the UK's Channel 4.
The rare condition called a Congenital Melanocytic Nevus meant the mole covered 40 per cent of Didier's body.
There was a chance it could turn malignant.
The family was also cast out of its village because superstitious people thought Didier's condition was due to evil forces.
It was also revealed he could not be baptised or attend school.
