Every ANZAC Day we hear stories of mateship and sacrifice but one of the most remarkable is about someone who never stepped foot on the battlefield.
Wally Scott-Smith served in a very different way, looking after the Sydney Cenotaph for nearly 8 decades.
“I’m only 96 now, so it is about time for me to retire.” said Wally.
Weekend Sunrise was there as he stood guard for the last time.
