More than 400 cannabis plants with a street value of $2 million have been found growing at a home south of Brisbane.

Police raided the sophisticated hydroponic set-up at Browns Plains on Monday morning, finding plants growing in nine rooms of the two-storey home.

"A significant number of the plants were mature and ready to harvest," Inspector Mick Dowdy said.

A 21-year-old man has been charged with four offences and will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
