An 18-year-old man is facing 11 charges after what police describe as a gunpoint robbery in west Windsor.

They say it happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Church Street around Wyandotte Street West.

According to authorities, a 23-year-old man was approached by the accused — who had a firearm and falsely claimed to be a police officer.

That's when police say the 18-year-old threatened the other man and took off in the victim's vehicle.

Not long afterward, police say officers found the vehicle at the intersection of Parent Avenue and Erie Street, where it had collided with a parked car.

Officers eventually caught up to the accused who fled on foot — and seized a semi-automatic handgun and some drugs.
