More than $1.4 million worth of cannabis has been netted in a raid on a house in southern NSW.

Drug squad officers swooped on the Queanbeyan home about 8am on Thursday and seized almost 300 cannabis plants and 30kg of cannabis leaf.

Police will allege they also uncovered a hydroponic set-up used to grow cannabis.

More than $7000 in cash and steroids was also confiscated.

A 28-year-old man was charged with a string of drug offences and refused bail to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on Thursday.
