Typist with 12 fingers claims sexism is the reason he can't find work

An Indian man with 12 fingers says his typing skills are being ignored because 'employers only want attractive women'.

Vijay Singh can reportedly hit out more than 100 words per minute with his 12 fingers but is leaving native India for Britain after being rejected from more than 50 jobs.

"They want pretty women, not some guy who has 12 finger," he said.

The 48-year-old suffers from Polydactyly and his extra fingers act as fully-functioning digits, which is often seen as a symbol of good luck in India.

While most people with the condition have a small piece of soft tissue that can be removed, Singh suffers from a rare case. He also has 12 toes.

He may be a self-proclaimed whiz on the keyboard, but he's not the best.

The Daily Mail reports the world's fastest typist is Michael Shestov, who can type at speeds of up to 17 characters per second - in 27 different languages.
