The parents of Thomas Kelly say they are shocked by a similar attack on Daniel Christie.
The parents of one-punch victim Thomas Kelly say they're shocked by a similar attack that's left another teenager fighting for life.
Daniel Christie was knocked out in Sydney's Kings Cross on New Year's Eve.
The alleged attack was in the same spot where Thomas Kelly was fatally punched in 2012.
His parents say their hearts go out to the Christie family, who are calling for the term 'king-hit' to be replaced by 'coward's punch'.
It's a cow of a term.
'King' is something good.
No, kill it.
It's not a police term and we steer right away from it.
We don't want to glorify that type of violence by describing it as a 'king-hit'.
These sort of gutless acts should not be respected and they should not be hidden in words like 'assault occasioning actual bodily harm' or 'assault occasioning grievous bodily harm', Seven News has made the decision to stop using the term 'king-hit.
