Pranksters give flatmate's room a makeover

A group of pranksters spent days preparing a welcome home gift for their room mate, turning his bedroom into an enchanted fairytale wonderland.

Tom Overend, 26, returned home from a two-month holiday in Asia to find his bedroom had undergone an elaborate makeover - but the redesign wasn't exactly to his taste.

The friends removed all of his furniture, painted the walls pink, mounted fairy lights and even placed a four post bed complete with frills and flowers in the centre of the room.

Tom had returned exhausted from a trip through Vietnam and Cambodia when he was confronted with his new-look room, fit for a princess.

The friends filmed his shocked reaction and then posted the video of the stunt on YouTube, where it has been viewed more than 350,000 times.

"I was surprised, amazed and overjoyed that a dozen people made enough time to brighten my homecoming," he said.
