Detectives will today apply for the extradition of Navarone Hutchins’ accused killer from Mildura.

Mr Hutchins body was found near a dirt track on the outskirts of Keith on Tuesday.

He had been reported missing and was last seen alive last Friday night when dropped off at a friend’s house.

The man charged with killing Mr Hutchins appeared in the Mildura Magistrates Court yesterday and was remanded in custody.

Acting on information from SA Police, Victorian officers arrested the 20-year-old Keith man at Robinvale, near Mildura, late on Wednesday.

Police have previously described the alleged murder as ‘particularly violent’.
