Body-in-boot murder accomplice Tania Herman has applied to marry her lesbian jailbird lover behind bars.
Seven News understands Herman has applied to Corrections Victoria for permission to hold a commitment ceremony inside Tarrengower women's prison.
The intended bride is Nicole Muscat who is currently serving a two-year sentence for siphoning more than $100,000 from the Torquay Golf Club.
Herman is serving a minimum nine-year jail-term for the 2005 attempted murder of Maria Korp in a plan hatched with Joe Korp, her secret lover and the victim's husband.
Ms Korp was strangled and beaten by Herman, then bundled into the boot of her car and dumped at the Shrine of Remembrance.
The 50-year-old mother-of-two was discovered close to death four days after she went missing from her Melbourne home.
Ms Korp never recovered from her injuries and died six months later, and on the day of her funeral Korp, who was awaiting trial, committed suicide.
Herman, who is due for parole next year, pleaded guilty to Ms Corp's murder but maintained that she was coerced into the killing by Korp.
