Melbourne charities cry for help

Yahoo!7 December 15, 2012, 5:54 pm

With Christmas just ten days away, Melbourne charities are crying out for help.

Families are feeling the punch more than ever, but there's only so much that can be done without donations from the public.

Santa's helpers from the Magic Moments Foundation have been busy wrapping a thousand presents and packaging five hundred food hampers for families in need, but they're disappointed they still had to turn many away.

Charities across the board in in crisis after donations dropped significantly in the last year, meaning many families will go without.

Here's how you can help:

You can click on these links to donate money or food to the Wesley Mission’s Food for Families appeal.

You can also donate by visiting the Magic Moments Foundation website and the Basket Brigade website and selecting 'Donate Now'.

You can also donate to the Salvation Army here.
