Couple fight to save rabbit shelter

Yahoo!7 July 12, 2012, 5:43 pm

Victoria's only rescue shelter for pet rabbits may be forced to close unless it gets financial help soon.

Rabbit Run-Away Orphanage at Olinda saves unwanted pets, but a legal battle to keep it open has left owners, Judi and Bryce Inglis, in debt.

The couple have been rescuing rabbits for nearly eight years, but spiralling food, vet, and legal costs have blown out to $35,000 a year, and the shelter is nearing financial ruin.
