Fears for missing Melbourne woman

Yahoo!7 Updated November 12, 2012, 5:56 pm

CCTV images have emerged as the search continues for a woman missing since last week.

The footage shows Sandra Pevitt withdrawing money from a shopping centre near her home last Friday.

Police now believe she's safe, but they're worried that she hasn't contacted her family since last Wednesday morning when she left her Werribee home in Melbourne's south-west.

She told family and friends she was going to the doctor however it was revealed that she didn’t have an appointment with her regular GP.

She is 167 cm tall with shoulder-length blonde hair and frameless glasses.

She was wearing blue jeans, a grey sports top, brown and white knitted jacket and white runners with a pink trim.

Her car, a silver station wagon, is also missing.

Meanwhile, Elwood woman Katie Dircks, who disappeared on Friday night after boarding a tram from Sturt Street in South Melbourne to Flinders Street, has been found safe and well in Tasmania.

Police urge anyone with information to contact Triple Zero immediately.
