Billion dollar power drain

Research has shown a power drain worth a billion dollars a year to Australian households, with hundreds wasted from appliances left on standby.

CHOICE has calculated on average every Australian household wastes $100 in electricity just from standby appliances, but that's only the start of the savings that can be made.

There are clever new devices that can cut our power wastage to almost nothing, bringing savings of up to twenty per cent.
