Georgia Main - Today Tonight Reporter
There was never any doubt Georgia would pursue a career in the media. Her father began his career as a newspaper journalist some 30 years before.
After studying Media and Communications at university, Georgia began her media career in radio, in the regional Victorian town of Ballarat before being offered a position at Melbourne's number one radio station, 3AW. There, Georgia reported and presented news bulletins for three years, covering state elections and police rounds as well as covering the CBD gunman story which received international attention.
The transition from radio to television was definitely a challenge - but an exciting one for Georgia - going from quick news bulletins to focusing on pictures and the visual aspects of a story.
Today Tonight stories from Georgia MainJoining Today Tonight has provided Georgia with the perfect backdrop to explore her creativity and passion for in-depth stories whilst covering harder issues including the Victorian Bushfire Disaster, and investigations into the state of our schools, internet predators alongside the Federal Police and the car insurance industry.
Her many and varied stories have seen her interview the likes of tennis players Ana Ivanovic, Stefi Graf and Maria Sharapova and celebrities such as Curtis Stone, Ronan Keating and Zara Phillips.
Outside of work, Georgia enjoys travelling, running and spending time with family and friends.
