One of the first things we learn in society is to respect our elders, but the thief who's chosen to rob elderly shopkeeper Fay Morley clearly has no respect whatsoever.
Morley works six days a week running her shop, and though she doesn't make enough money to cover her rent, she keeps working because she loves it.
Losing $400 to thieves is a massive blow to her, but instead of being bitter, Morley is ready to forgive.

“I never make my rent but it is therapy for me. I get out and I meet people and I go home at night and I lock myself in when I go home and I am ok,” Morley said.
“I don't make my rent because I live off what money I have.”
Acting police inspector Danielle Emerton says thieves see Morley as an obvious target.

“She’s vulnerable because of her age, however she should still be able to run a store safely, and with the assistance of the community and the police to keep her safe then that should continue,” Emerton said.
