Are spelling skills important?

Our spelling bee has struck a chord with viewers, with thousands tackling the 50 words people have the most trouble trying to spell correctly.

More than 10,000 people completed the test and answered our poll question 'Do you think spelling is important?'

The response was emphatic. 73 per cent of you say it is vitally important, 22 per cent agree it's important, while just five per cent don't think it's all that important at all.
