The Flat Belly diet is designed for the often neglected 40-plus age group. There is no lemon detoxing required, rather it includes foods like chocolate, cheese, pizza and not a single sit up.
Created by Prevention Magazine staff in America, the four-week eating plan has three basic rules:
1. Eat 1600 kilojoules per meal.2. Never go more than four hours without eating.
3. Eat a monounsaturated fatty acid at every meal.

Caffeine and alcohol are banned with daily exercise encouraged.
Mum of three Jayne Timms has gained a much flatter belly and lost excess fat from other areas too.
She lost 4cm around her neck, 3cm from her arm, 7cm from her thigh, 5cm from around the ribs, 10cm around the waist and 6cm around her hips.
"I think it's definitely a combination," she said.
"I increased my exercise and the intensity of the exercise so that was really good."
Dietician Emma Stirling said it is a kilojoules controlled eating plan.
"You will lose weight on the diet and it has been designed with a dietician in the US so it is nutritionally sound," she said.
