With the unveiling of Samsung's OLED 3D Smart TV control is in your hands. You can change channels and turn the volume up or down just by using your body – the TV watches your moves and responds.

It's TV tai-chi and Samsung's Brad Wright says it's the way of the future.

“For people who don't know what OLED is, it’s the next generation of flat panel TV technology, where each individual pixel basically creates its own colour and its own light source,” Wright said.

“We've got voice control and gesture control, so you will be able to walk into your living room and say ‘hi TV’ and the TV will turn on. And you will also be able to use your voice to change the channel,” Hanlon said.

LG is giving itself a pat on the back for the world's largest 3D OLED TV. It’s a 55 inch TV that's only 4 millimetres thick - that's thinner than your pinkie.

The Consumer Electronics Show is a virtual catwalk for anything new in the world of technology, unveiling plenty of whiz-bang to the world.
