Big business is starting to have a big presence in social media, but it can backfire badly.

Customers, especially mothers, are lining up to take potshots at some of Australia's best known stores for stocking clothing they feel is not age-appropriate.

When the stores get it wrong, the response is quick and spreads like wildfire.
