Hollywood may be used to short marriages, but rarely are star divorces as quick and seemingly painless as Tom Cruise's and Katies Holmes's.

After five years together, their split is a done deal, with Holmes getting what she wanted: primary custody of daughter Suri.

And it seems there was a very good reason for why Cruise wanted to get marriage number three over and done with as soon as possible.
