A fire in Perth's City of Swan, where there has been a string of suspicious blazes in recent days, has quickly been brought under control.
At 6.35am (WST), a watch and act alert was issued for the southern part of Aveley, south of Millhouse Road, while an advice was issued for north of that road.
There was a possible threat to lives and homes as the fire moved in a westerly direction, but at 7.45am the alert for the southern part of Aveley had been downgraded to an advice, while people north of Millhouse Road had been given the all clear.
There has been a string of suspicious bushfires in the area in recent days, including one at Ellenbrook, where flames came within metres of dozens of homes.
Separately, a bushfire that threatened lives and homes in the Town of Kwinana on Thursday afternoon was tackled overnight, with an all clear issued for Medina, Calista and Kwinana Beach at 10.35pm.
The fire is now being held within containment lines, but locals have been told they need to remain vigilant.
